Hi everyone! We are mere days away from the release of Intergalactic Cook-Off meaning it's time to finally take a look back at the venue you are all familiar with. The watery planet of Vodnik has virtually no landmass, meaning that the local flora and fauna has developed to live in the oceans depths.

We here at Moongoose Games are very excited to finally share with you the final build for Intergalactic Cook-Off. We've come a long way since our first iterations and we're excited to bring IGC to it's thrilling conclusion. We want to thank everyone again for your support and feedback throughout these truly unprecedented times. The team here at Moongoose is getting ready to move on to bigger and better things, and we hope you will follow us all on our journey! You can learn more about each of the team members and their role here at Moongoose in the Team section of our site, and you can follow all of us on our respective twitters.

Being locked in a house with the majority of the Moongoose team has it's advantages. Mostly being able to work on the game more often! Intergalactic Cook-Off is in the polishing stage of development. We're just ironing out animations and fixing up some dialogue and the main game will be just about finished! We're mainly just working on getting the last bits of the music in, but it's been particularly finicky about a lot of our .wav files...

Since we are rapidly approaching the debut of Intergalactic Cook-Off, now would be the perfect time to show off the finale destination for this years IGC!

Home to your favourite Cook-Off host, Core-E-Spondant, and the final challenge between you and the title of galaxies greatest chef! The GES is a vibrant hub of activity, but it mostly popular for its fully automated living environments. Scientists on the GES have made leaps and bounds in the autonomous living, and are the people behind the creation of the Cookatron-5000! Here you will face off against Malin, who you should all know by now as last years IGC champion. Your team will be competing against him in the final leg of the competition to challenge him for the title. All of your practice has lead to this, so you best be ready to give it your all. Your team might be a crowd favourite, but Malin isn't going to go easy on you. He has a legacy to uphold. Intergalactic Cook-Off will be available April 2nd on our itch page!

Stay up to date with all of our newest developments, and stay in touch with the team after IGC on our Moongoose twitter page https://twitter.com/MoongooseGames @MoongooseGames!

We here are Moongoose Games are carefully monitoring the developing situation with CORVID-19. As some of you might already know Moongoose Games is our capstone game design project. Our university has been fully shut down with no more in-person instructions which makes meeting each other in person now to discuss IGC issues a bit of a challenge. We are all social distancing right now with no signs of sickness in the group, but we are none the less taking precautions. We are using all options available to us to stay in touch with each other to finish IGC.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who has shown an interest in Intergalactic Cook-Off. It’s the support from people like you that drives us to improve. We would also like to thank all of our playtesters for their input on the games mechanics and for finding bugs. We are hard at work figuring out what went wrong and how to fix all of the issues that are currently popping up.

In the meantime, while we get reorganized, we’d like to showcase our second planet Kalahar! Kalahar is home to an elaborate system of underground rivers, but the surface of the planet is a lonesome mesa of stone and clay. The native wildlife has developed to live in these harsh conditions making the foods found here extra hearty. Kalahar is famous for their Primplot wine with hints of charred Kalaharian herbs and juicy primplot. This is also the home of chef Zara. She has a vast knowledge of the native delicacies of Kalahar and an even broader expertise with galaxy wide cooking techniques.

We hope you look forward to meeting Zara in the demo of Intergalactic Cook-Off! Which will be released on April 2nd!

Look forward to hearing more about IGC soon! You can stay in touch with us on our Twitter page @moongoosegames where we post regular updates about the development of IGC and you can now find a *secret* demo of IGC on our itch page! Password is GooseGang. Have fun!
